What is Talent Boat Agency (TBA)? Talent Boat is a talent-management agency that specialises in talent recruitment, connecting brands, event organisers, and production companies with models and other creative professionals. We also help companies and individuals find the right talent for their events, programmes, and promotions.
We promote talent and help members secure the right job within and outside Nigeria. All members are to pay a commission on any job TBA secures, excluding the initial contract agreement with any member.
How legit is the Talent Boat Agency? TBA is legit and safe, controlled by Bobojay Entertainment & Technology, with a physical office at 92 Arthur Eze Avenue, Awka, Anambra State, Nigeria.
If I am not in Anambra or Nigeria, am I eligible to apply? Yes. You can apply Irrespective of your age, location, tribe, or religion. We only accept Africans with the below-listed skills.
Who is eligible to apply to TBA? TBA accepts both males and females with different talents, irrespective of their African Nationality. We accept the following talents: Models, Event Ushers, Dancers, Group Dancers, DJs, Comedians /MCs, Bouncers, Photographers, Cinematographers, Music Artists, Live Bands, Makeup Artists, Hair Stylists, Bakers, and Decorators.
Will I be trained if I register and become a member? No, we do not train members (aspirants); we teach or guide applicants to execute a specific job given to them. This means that before a member attends to any job, he/she must be trained to meet the job description if he/she does not understand the nature of the job. We also organise special training for members in most cases, but members must arrange their own accommodation and food during the training. We will share the date and venue with intended members via WhatsApp.
What do I stand to gain as a member? Talent Boat will pay you for every job you deliver and provide free access to online contests, giveaways, casting, and auditions. TBA has to promote and secure jobs for members. Members must make it a point of duty to visit notice boards, read emails, WhatsApp messages, attend auditions, & Cast for job opportunities.
Must I become a member before I can get a job? Yes, you must become a member to stand a chance of getting a job from us. We must know our members and have their details before we can partner with them.
Do I have to pay for registration? No, registration is free for now. You only pay for studio pictures if you don’t have anyone to build your profile and comp card for documentation. You will provide costumes and other logistics for the photoshoot.
What if I don’t have money for studio pictures? We believe in your talent! TBA will refer you to any of our approved photographers. Talent Boat Agency will pay the photographer after we secure your first or second job from your payment.
How long will my membership last? All applicants must work or be a member for at least 1 year before terminating their contract or membership.
How often would I be booked? How you get a job is determined by the category you opt for, and you must be an active member so that clients will have access to your full information. Your professional biography, pictures, and videos will also increase your chance of being hired by clients. Note: We don’t force members on clients; clients make a selection based on members’ profile details.
Since there are other members, how likely will I be hired? Members are spread across many cities in Nigeria; clients can hire members based on their locations. This means you will only be booked based on your residence if you state you can’t handle outside jobs, and choosing multiple skills may increase your chances of getting a job. You will get booked as long as you’re available to work; try to update your profile pictures and attend auditions.
Are times for the events flexible? Yes, times are flexible because clients book members a week before the official event date. Members will be notified ahead of time so they can prepare, but if a member can’t make it on the scheduled date, TBA will refund the client or direct them to book another member. In most cases, TBA instructs clients to adjust their time to suit requested members if it is not an event.
How do I get paid for a job? Once a client books any of our members for a job, TBA pays 50% after deducting the commission agreed in the contract form and completes payment after the job. The member will collect a job card signed by the client showing the job is done before requesting the remaining balance.
Is my security guaranteed if I am hired for a job in or outside my residence? Yes, TBA ensures clients provide adequate security for members (both verified and noncertified), and members must sign undertakings to protect them during job execution. We also request the client’s personal details, and in most cases, we will invite them to a discussion before sending our members. Talent Boat also sends staff to supervise members. A personal security guard (Police) is also assigned to members if necessary.
REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS:
What are the membership requirements? You must have a National Identity Card (NIN), be above 5.4 ft tall, be 19 to 27 years old for models or ushers, and have no criminal record. Applicants aged 2 to 17 years are advised to apply as minors and must request approval from parents or guardians.
Warning: Don’t make any payment to anyone. We don’t have representatives anywhere, and you must confirm with management through the official phone number before making any payment. Note: payment is nonrefundable.
What other information do I need to know about registration? Please get approval before you register; you will be disqualified if you register without management approval.
How many pictures do I need for my profile? All accepted applicants must have at least 6 digital studio pictures showcasing different attire. Warning: Don’t apply too much makeup, and non-digital studio pictures are not allowed.
Where can I snap a digital picture? You can choose any of our photo studios near you. Most studios charge between ₦3,000 and ₦5,000 per picture for a standard photoshoot.
Apart from pictures, what else do I need? You will record at least 6 video clips with different attire. You should be fresh-faced, with light makeup, a clean hairstyle or wig for females, or a clean haircut for males. Choose a nice background for your video. You’re not walking the runway; wear a nice dress. Wear skinny jeans and a short/ long sleeveless, plain coloured top for a female model; form-fitting jeans and a solid T-shirt for a male model; or wear a simple outfit of your choice, and you have to make a full video of yourself.
What is the format for pictures & videos? Minimum picture size: 513 x 700 (width x height) for portrait and 800 x 513 (width x height) for landscape. We want to see your personality and how you walk, talk, and sit in full length; the video must not exceed 60 seconds. Warning! Do not attach any signature or studio logo to your pictures or videos.
How can I get my official T-shirt and cap? TBA will deliver them to you upon request, before any job. Note: You will pay a delivery fee if you can’t come to the office to collect the items.
Why is my picture not on the home page? Only randomly selected members who signed a contract agreement form appear on the home page. Note: Clients can still see all members when they log into their accounts.
What would I do if I lost my password? Request a new password or contact us on WhatsApp. Note: Opening multiple accounts will result in termination of your membership, and you will be penalised accordingly.

PICTURE/VIDEO GUIDELINES
Note: These requirements/guidelines are for those interested in Modelling, Ushering, and Dancing. Applicants are to provide these materials. As you apply for membership, remember that you’re trying to make an impression on someone who has never met you. This is a guide to show our clients who you are, what you can do, and what you look like in your most natural way (make a nice hairstyle).
You will snap at least 11 digital photos upon acceptance. Pictures will include half-length, full-length, waist-up, and full-length with different positions. Please do your best to replicate the simple images used as an example during the photo shoot, and note that the pictures below are not professionally done; they serve as guidelines. Minimum picture size: 513 x 800 (width x height) for portrait and 800 x 513 (width x height) for landscape orientation. We would love to get to know your personality and see how you walk, talk, and sit in full-length, with a brief 30- 60-second video.
Warning! Do not attach any signature or studio logo to your pictures or video except our official logo.
For an outdoor photoshoot, use natural daylight; don’t use direct sunlight. Remember, we’re looking for your natural look; makeup artists won’t apply too much makeup.
An applicant who fails to provide photos & videos will not be published on our website until the pictures and videos are complete.
Video Guidelines:
We will get to know your personality and see how you walk, talk, and sit in a full-length, 30- 60-second video. During this section, we will record a video of you in different positions as you walk, sit and talk. You will show a normal, casual walk back and forth in front of the camera so that our client can see your full line.
Note: You should be fresh-faced, with no makeup and a clean hairstyle, although makeup artists will be on-site for female applicants.
